Fan club thoughts and cheese

Cheese Plate with Sriracha
Originally uploaded by Refracted Moments™.

Apparently there are some problems with the poll daddy poll in the previous poll--I mean post. If you have a problem voting, post your preferred vote in the vote--I mean comments.
I'll be making some phone calls tomorrow and will let you know what I figure out regarding the fan club identification paraphernalia. The initial membership phase will likely be limited to 100*. I will be sure to announce it all well in advance of actually selling the memberships, so everyone who wants to join should have ample opportunity.
On another note, here's an interview with me via BlogInterviewer. Go there and rate me. (Please note: no actual microphones or wads of cash were used in the interview, as depicted in the banner.)
Finally, were you aware there is an entire website related to cheese slicing? Well, there is.

*This isn't to suggest there will not be other membership opportunities, but the first phase will be labor intensive and experimental in nature, like most things I do.

Pip Fan Club ideas: let's put it to a vote

The Fan Club will also include a membership card, a newsletter, and a super secret surprise.

Missing H Policy

Originally uploaded by Ape Lad.

If you are the first to spot a Laugh-Out-Loud Cats comic that does not feature a hidden hobo sign, I will send you a free one. That is my policy as of a couple of weeks ago. It's not retroactive, so keep a close eye on the upcoming comics.
Also, I am still formulating ideas for a Pip Fan Club, which may or may not feature the following items:
A newsletter written by Pip, entitled the Leaflet.
A patch or sticker or lapel pin. I haven't decided though I'm leaning towards pin.
A membership card. Membership will be limited and relatively inexpensive.
A special secret revealed only to fan club members through cryptic means.

I'll post more about it as I further figure it out.

This is my first ballet related post

...and most likely my last, but when they're dancing to the Pixies, how can I resist?
Here is an interesting fact I have recently discovered: if you play this song (Where is My Mind) to children, they will spend the rest of the day saying "woooooo---STOP!" (that's how the song begins).
As for an update: expect the following late this evening: monsters, robots, monkeys, and cats. Also a llama.

National Railroad News

Michael at the National Railroad News blog wanted Kitteh and Pip to appear between each day's posts. Here they are. He'll be posting my comics each Tuesday as well.
All of the Laugh-Out-Loud Cats comics are released under a Creative Commons license, so if you'd like to post them on your blog, go right ahead--just be sure to link back to here or flickr or my homepage.
Thanks and good night.

Harvest Moon

Harvest Moon was last night. Did you know each month's full moon has a name? April is "Growing Moon" which is an awesome thought on it's own.
Anyway, no comics today. I've been catching up on mailing and other freelance efforts, as well as #300, which will be up I don't know when---but soon.
Meanwhile, enjoy America's favorite Canadian, Neil Young doing what he does best.

KA-POW!

Originally uploaded by paw_con.

I live in what is sometimes called Lightning Alley, though I've never heard it called that in real life. As such, whenever the ions start crackling, it's my cue to power down and unplug*.
I tell you this because I was about to scan and post a couple of comics, a squirrel, a monkey, a bird, and a racoon. Then boom went the sky.
So, dear friends, later.

*I've lost two modems and a power source to old man lightning, and he'll rob me no more.

Up Your Pavement

And now for something completely different.
Thank you to NuckleheadEd and Timmo for your tireless tagging efforts! That was awesome of you, I didn't expect it to be done in one night, but I really appreciate it. It will help a lot, and it should be pretty interesting to see which lines I've used most often.

Update on the Marvel Project Dealie

Abomination
Originally uploaded by Ape Lad.

Someone* was kind enough to send me a copy of a comic book showing the Marvel characters in alphabetical order. They sent the first issue, so we'll see how long it takes me to get through it.
Here's the first entry: Abomination. If you aren't familiar with comic books, Abomination is a bad guy. He fights the Hulk. Hulk smashes him. Hulk pretty much smashes everything.

Also, watch this space for more cats and critters throughout the week.

*They asked to remain nameless, but I really appreciate it.

May I have your assistance please?

IF: you have a moment and
IF: you happen to be looking at the archive of cats comics on flickr and
IF: you don't mind
WOULD YOU PLEASE: take a moment to "tag" the caption?
WHAT THIS MEANS: See where it says "add a tag" in blue on the right on each comics page in flickr? Click on that, write the caption "in quotes please" and click the blue "ADD" button. Easy!
I hesitate to ask for this assistance because I don't want anyone hauling off and doing them all, and there is certainly no rush.
THE REASON I am doing this is to make it easier to see which captions I've used before.
I don't want to repeat myself, and neither do you.
Thank you in advance, your continued support and assistance is a credit to this organization.
Sincerely,
The Management.
